History
Of the two SCCA log books the earliest entry is July 1987, driver Robert Rose. This was his first race in the car and he finished 1st in class. Rose later went on to race the ex-Brooks Racing Ford Thunderbird in the IMSA Camel GT Series. Previous owner was Ray Firley of PA. Cra was black then and was sold to Rose w/o engine trans. Rose installed a 351C engine and won his first race in GT1 at Mid-Ohio on 7/25/97. The two SCCA log books cover 1987 thru 2003 and show Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock Park, Nelsen Ledges, NHIS and Blackhawk Farms. Previous to 1987 the car was owned by Ray Firley of PA, was painted black in full race trim but missing engine/trans. Might have been used in hillclimb competition.
