Description
Video link www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4TNYOsvtE4 some of the historical photos are at www.putschracing.com/mckee_restoration.php This is an interesting car with a long known history. This is the third car Bob McKee made under his own name for the USSRC series. Originally commissioned by Carol Shelby for driver Bob Johnson with open cockpit aluminum body. Newly registered in the Shelby American Registry. The nose was soon replaced with Dan Gurney's Lotus 19 nose and it raced that way through the 60's before being fitted with the closed cockpit Lola T70 MK3b body. The car briefly raced and then was used as a street car through the 1980's. The car has a fresh full restoration. The body has its original paint as last raced with some new decals. The car is turn key. It cools well, is easy to maintain, and drives well on the track. It is currently set up for SVRA group 5 with treaded tires and can run in Can-Am too. Its civil and cools well enough to drive on the street. Insurance for the street is no problem and I can advise. A real killer.
