Description
This 1957 Teverbaugh & Kirkland Bonneville Special is truly a very special piece of motor history. In 1957, with an objective of exceeding 200 MPH on pump gas, this car featured a blown & injected Mercury engine, chromoly tube frame with disc brakes off an airplane, Halibrand quick change rear end and wheels, and a fiberglass body with full bellypan. The original owner's innovations made the car way ahead of its time mechanically and aerodynamically. With a restoration stretching from 1992 - 2005, the objective was to build a winning/reliable vintage road racer that honored the car's heritage, while complying with the restoration desire of the original owner and the needs of the current owner. Both agreed to the eventual resto/update.
