In original condition from last race in 1992 this significantly historic IMSA GTP/Light racing car is offered for sale. The 1990 IMSA Kudzu/Buick GTP/Light race car is completely documented and historically correct with less than 3 full seasons on the chassis. Chassis DG2.02 was the 1991 12 Hours of Sebring Winner and runner up for the 1991 IMSA GTP/Light Manufactures Championship. Finishing a scant 3 points behind the Factory Acura in the tighest battle in IMSA History. In addition to Sebring Kudzu DG2.02 won at New Orleans and had podium finishes at (2nd.) Road Atlanta, Mid Ohio, Sears Point, West Palm Beach, Topeka, Miami and Watkins Glen as well as (3rds.) at Lime Rock Park, San Antonio, Miami, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta and Road America in it's short 3 year racing history. In 1990, Essex Racing's Michael Gue (former IMSA owner) purchased this Kudzu from manufacture Downing Atlanta. Essex team drivers included: former IMSA owner and Sebring winner Andy Evans, Kudzu Manufacture and multi-time IMSA Champion Jim Downing, former Sebring Winner and IMSA Champion Tom Hessert, Sebring Winners Fermin Velez, Jim Pace, former IMSA Champion Tommy Riggins. IMSA winner Charles Morgan and Ken Knott. Known as the "Art Car" with it's vivid automotive artist, Randy Owens graphics chassis DG2.02 is fully race ready and comes complete with a HUGE compliment of spares, 9 pages of spares, including a spare, Hertel Buick 4.5 liter V6's, many wheels and much, much more!
