Description
Tube frame race truck with small block Chevy engine. Spec Truck class, partially set up for road racing with NASA. Bodied as a Ford Ranger. Chassis engine have less than 75 hours of run time. Has been in storage for 14 yearsUsed for display, racing school and only in two races (road races at Tustin Air Base and LA Coliseum). Engine is a small block Chevy ZZ3 cast iron head crate motor with the spec class 2bbl carb. Engine has a Canton water pump, Sweet Power Steering pump and hi output alternator,. The transmission is a TCI Powerglide 2-speed with a foot operated valve (no torque converter) for engagement. AFCO Ford 9” rear end with new Currie 3.25 ring & pinion with posi for road racing, plus two third members for oval tracks (4.30 and a 4.57 ratio). Never crashed, but body need paint due to aging. Included but not installed are a remote fill for the fuel cell, an Accusump oil acumulator to assure optimum oil pressure and a Tilton triple disk clutch, flywheel and bellhousing to convert to a four speed for road racing. Spares include engine belts, some body panels and a full set of DuetschTech coilover shocks (can be revalved) and several coil springs. Comes with both 15” x 10” wide steel wheels and 15” x 8” wide steel wheels The truck is ready to race. Only the driver restraints (5 point harness) need replacing as the SFI sticker is out of date and the tires are old and hard.
