This car was built by a Denver area master machinist and race car builder. It is a 1977 Porsche 911S that he modified to resemble a 993 series GT2. His vision was to enter the car in the Silver State Classic road race in Nevada. There are zero miles on this build. He installed a beautiful custom, full roll cage that has been described as a work of art. The fiberglass wide body kit is from M A Shaw. All of the exterior lights are Porsche factory units, not cheap aftermarket stuff. He even went so far as to move the wipers closer together to further the 993 series look of the car. The car is painted Porsche 'Guards Red' with clear coat and the bottom of the car has a pebble finish rock chip coating under the paint. Momo race seats on Porsche sliders and a Momo steering wheel and shift knob compliment the fully finished interior, with new carpet, headliner, door panels and custom console. It retains the Porsche factory dash and gauges with a 993 series dash pad. It has power windows and power sunroof. He installed a custom Fluidyne radiator in the nose of the car to support either a V8 conversion or a water cooled Porsche engine. It has dual AFCO master cylinders with a balance bar, Wilwood calipers, six piston in front and 4 piston in the rear clamping on two piece rotors with iron discs and aluminum hats. There are two additional calipers in the rear for the parking brakes. The suspension uses components from Smart Racing, Bilstein, Eibach, Ground Control and Speedway engineering. The front suspension is a rocker arm style with remote mounted coilovers. The rear has adjustable spring plates along with the factory trailing arms and inboard mounted coilovers. Both front and rear sway bars are three piece units with adjustable end links. Both ends of the car are fully adjustable for ride height and alignment. The fully polished two-piece wheels are from Kinesis, sizes 18x9 in front and 18x13 in the rear all wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. The front tires are 265/35s and the rears are 335/30s. The engine compartment has a beautifully built 383 cu.in. short block that he assembled to support a twin turbocharged, high horsepower race motor. It is mounted with a Rod Simpson Hybrids mounting kit that includes a remote mounted water pump. The short block is connected to a 4-speed 930 Turbo transaxle with Turbo axles and CV joints. The engine is not finished to allow the buyer to decide how he or she wants to complete the powertrain. The engine compartment is not cut up, so a Porsche engine could easily be installed. An LS series V8 would be a great option. Over $65,000 has been invested in this build.
