Description
1966 TR4A with overdrive and independent rear suspension. Color is Conifer Green. Body-off frame rotisserie restoration by Lee Chapman Racing & GMT Racing in Connecticut between 2014-2017. Mileage on odometer is 97,567 (as of 6/26/2019) but only 1,201 miles since the restoration finish date of June 2017. The intent going into the restoration was to turn out a street legal vintage race car. About halfway through I decided to finish it as a street car, so a fuel cell was not added. Runs and drives great. No races since restoration. New wood dash. Hermosa Retro radio with AM-FM Bluetooth has been added with two speakers in a box behind seats. Box is not bolted in. Sold on a Bill of Sale and CT Q1 form as Connecticut does not issue titles for vehicles of this age. (The event plates shown in photos DO Not come with the car. Previous/Original owner kept them. History
Purchased new at Standard Triumph in New York City October 1965 and prepped for SCCA competition shortly after. Raced SCCA D/P at Lime Rock Park (CT), Bridgehampton (NY), Thompson Speedway (CT) and Marlboro Motor Raceway (MD) from 1966-69. Became a street car after 1969. Was never a rusty car. I am the 2nd owner. Now road registered.
