Description
The space frame is in quite original and straight condition, still
with some of the original paint. It might need the odd tube replaced.
The 2 fuel tanks are still there, installed on either side of the cockpit
with the filler in front of the cockpit. The dashboard is there with guages
save rev counter.
Even the coil and original loom are on the car. The roll hoop was
changed in the past as the original Brabham ones were usually protected by
the driver's helmet. It has the Arch stamp on the back of the frame
and has a chassis plate which identifies it as one of only 12 BT16s produced.
The bodywork and screen
are brand new. It has the BT14 twin cam tail cover as the owner intended
to restore it with a 1500 twin cam.
The rest of the car is in boxes, including rad, front corners c/w
discs and calipers, rack, new rear uprights (unmachined). Rear brakes and
one or two pedals missing.
This car has no engine or box but a friend of the owner has a 6-speed mk7 which would
be a nice touch.
