History
The car was brought from England by Brian Redman in March 1985. It was originally bought for its 2 Litre engine.
Most Chevrons racing at the time were running 1.8 Litre engines and this car was built with a 2 Litre engine.
The car ran SVRA, Moroso, Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Atlanta in 1985. In the winter of 1986 the car was completely
stripped, rebuilt, refurbished, and restored. The restoration was done by Tony Simms, Earl Dunn, and Alex Purdy
(currently the engineer for the Cunningham Nissan Team).
The first event after the restoration was the Bahamas met in December of 1986. The car won the coveted
"Peoples Choice Award" and according to Brian Redman was "The best example of a Chevron B19 he had ever seen".
In 1987 the car ran the SVRA events at Moroso, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Atlanta, and Bahamas. In March of 1987
at Sebring the car was driven by Lynn St. James to a 3rd Place Finish. In September at Road Atlanta Brian Redman
drove the car to Victory! In 1992 the car ran a 3 hour HSR enduro race at Sebring, in the hands of Brian Redman,
Earl Dunn, Robert Hubbs, and James Redman, the won 1st. Place overall.
From 1989 to date, the car has run occasionally in Brian Redman's "Targa Group 66" and HSR events. The car
has 2 hours running time since its last engine rebuild and repaint. It is race ready and in excellent condition.
