Description

1971 Camaro Vintage Race Car. The car is freshly restored with only three(3)race weekends on it. It is truly a show car in its preparation, race engineering fabrication, and paint quality. It has raced in A/Sedan in the western US and in SVRA Group 6. 500HP 302 Chevy small block engine. Rebuilt Jerico 4-speed dog-ring transmission, Ford 9" rear axle w/aluminum carrier and Detroit Locker, Quartermaster 7-1/4" 3- disc clutch/flywheel, Quartermaster steel drive shaft w/hoop, Quick ratio GM Power steering, GM 4-wheel disc brakes w/recirculating brake fluid feature on front calipers, Custom fabricated Penske style roll cage w/padding, Coil springs front w/weight-jackers, leaf springs rear w/ Adjustable Panhard Bar, 4-new Koni adjustable shocks, custom NASCAR style exhaust system w/pass. side outlet,15 gallon Fuel Safe fuel cell w/electric fuel pump, the interior is fully race prepared w/custom aluminum dash, alum. door panels, alum. panels on floors, carbon-fiber dash top and rear package tray, a fresh air ducted cool suit/helmet blower set up with dry ice cooler container,removable leather wrapped racing steering wheel, Autometer large tach , Autometer Pro-Comp full instrumentation,accusump remote oiling system, fiberglass removable transmission tunnel, fire system, new Kirkey aluminum NASCAR style full containment drivers seat w/Hans provision, dash mounted brake bias adjuster, racing convex rear view mirror, window net, 5-point Teamtech racing seat belts w/sternum protector, engine compartment fabricated with aluminum radiator shroud, alum. fire wall, alum. exhaust header covers, custom cowl induction air intake, light weight fiberglass cowl hood, fiberglass inner fenders, light weight fiberglass trunk lid, aluminum racing radiator w/oil cooler and electric cooling fan.

History

The car was built approximately 20 years ago for vintage racing. It was originally a factory SS/RS car. It has raced primarily in the western US. It has raced mainly in A/sedan and in SVRA Group-6. Most recently it was invited and competed at the prestigious Coronado Speed Festival Race at the US Navy Air Base on Coronado Island in San Diego. One of the fastest A/Sedans in the country.

1st place HSRW at PIR FEB. 2011 1st place HSRW at PIR NOV.2010.5th place Coronado Sept. 2012, SVRA Group 6 at Coronado Sept. 2015.
