Very original car with original engine and gearbox. This Lotus was "discovered" in 1999 on a used car lot where it was advertised as a street car and was registered as such. Its street conversion is what saved the car from race damage and modifications. Fortunately, the street modifications were only superficial fibreglass parts added to the body with no impact on the frame. The car has been the subject of a complete bare frame restoration to bring it up to current safety standards, but without affecting the originality. New parts include: fuel cell, windshield, dry sump tank, dry sump pump, Willans seat belts, stub axles, wheels, rebuilt calipers and master cylinders, seat, engine cover, pistons and many smaller items. Engine has dyno time only since rebuild.
Delivered to Lotus Canada June 14 1968, original colour BRG. History until 1999 is not known but it is beleived to have raced in Quebec until converted for "street use" and advertised for sale on a used car lot.
