This car started as a 1984 Mazda GSL-SE daily driver, with all the factory options. It was given to the current owner 6 years ago, when the then owner could not get service done. The interior was removed and a racing interior was installed by Bowtie Automotive in River Ridge, LA. The owner of Bowtie is familiar with the needs of Solo I and Solo II drivers so the proper cage and other accessories were properly installed. The body kit and paint was applied by Bill Rowell, another Solo Racer from the area. This package makes an ideal set-up for a novice solo events participant, the car has all the best parts and is easy to drive, and makes you look good doing it.
The car was finished about 5 years ago. The first outing for the car took 2nd place at the New Orleans World of Wheels Car Show in 1994. It started its racing career with a stock motor then a ported 13B motor, currently there is a custom built 12A peripheral port that was designed and assembled in Puerto Rico.
