Datsun 240Z Vintage Racer.It has a full rollcage,fuel cell,adjustable suspension,adjustable brake bias,fire system,4 speed transmission,racing clutch and a aluminum flywheel.The engine is a 280 block with Corrilo rods and Cosworth pistons bored 40 over.The head is shaved and ported with over sized valves and a full race cam.The compression ratio is 14 to 1. Cylinder compression is 250 psi. It has 3 Weber carbuerators , MSD ignition, headers,'accusump' sump oil pan,oil cooler and a over sized radiator.It has 290HP as tested.It has 15/7 Panasport rims and 15/6 Nissan Iron Cross spare rain tires and rims. Tires need replacing Some misc spares, nothing exciting. The car is very light and very FAST and handles unbelievable. Car originally ran autocross evnts in New England. Then upgraded to SCCA racingn and in1987 it was raced GT2 in a SCCA New England Regional at New Hampshire International Speedway.Also later that year at Lime Rock conn. . SCCA log book #022-1060. The motor and transmission have 2 SCCA races and 2 or 3 solo, 1 time trials runs.The motor and chassis was built and set up by Johnson Enginering who has since moved to Atlanta. It was last raced in 1995 at New Hanpshire Speedway .The car does have a log book It has a fire system and a fuel cell .The engine only has 2 races on it.Very strong engine.... The ran car in GT2 in the New England Region. Lime Rock Connecticut, Loudon International Speedway and Watkins Glen. No rust or wrecks that I can see. VIN # HLS30-153652. I sent the cam and rockers out to Scott Machine for maintenace , as it is a HOT vintage Racer Brown stick. It came back very nice. Scott said " that is one monster cam, .560" lift and 250 degrees duration @.050". It appears to be an old Racer Brown race cam RB371 .We replaced some braided fuel line, oil, filters,fluids, etc. It will sell with new RCI harness, which I have, but not installed.. It needs tires to be track ready. To the best of my knowledge, the car meets FIA homologation, including the zg style flares and cage with two side bars for driver protection in rollcage ( both sides) . Body is very presentable. One fender has a bit of a crack along part of the flare. I only rinsed the dust off the car berfore taking the pictures. ALWAYS kept inside. Fiberglass hood, Front brake ducts, nice front nerf bars, Fuel cell with two pumps,Fire system, brake proportioning control in cockpit, adjustable coilovers fr & rear, great seat, like new, . MSD and "accusump" type oil system. You couldn't have the motor built for the price of the whole car. If you like Z's, I believe this one will please you
