Description
1966 Square tube Ginetta G4 race car. Extremely famous car that was raced in Europe by Tony Ingram and subsequently imported to the U.S. in 1986. The car was the subject of a Classic & Sportscar track test by Willie Green (December 1985 issue -- copy included), and received a comprehensive restoration with extensive chassis upgrades when owned by Lee Chapman during the late 80's. I have all of the logbooks detailing the car's ownership dating back to 1986. The car is registered with the Ginetta Owners Club and is pictured in the Trevor Pyman Ginetta G4 book on pages 123 and 124.
History
The car won the Post Historic Road Sports Championship in the U.K. in the early 80's with 13 wins in 15 races. Won the U.K. Kit Car Challenge class championship two years running and has raced at Sebring, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Mid Ohio, Mosport, Road Atlanta, Road America and other classic North American road racing venues since coming to the U.S. 1986. Will be a dominant Group 8 SVRA car in the right hands.
Recent Competition History
A consistent front runner with SVRA, HSR, and RMVR since coming to the U.S. in the mid 80's
