Description
This car was restored by the owner in 1998, which entailed a complete strip down to frame, bead blasting,
and fresh light gray paint. It also received new aluminum bulkheads, there are photos available upon request
of this work.
History
This car originally raced by the USA Quest importer, Dominic Capes of Cape motor Sports. Pat Prince of
Prince Race Cars has jigs for the suspension wishbones. After the rebuild the current owner has put about ten hours
total time on the car attending Safe Motorsports Inc. track days. The car meets SCCA specs, except it lacks the crushable nose section
which is easily fabricated. A similar car was used by Johnny Herbert to win the Formula Ford Festival in 1985.
The designer of this car Mike Thompson went on to design for Chevron.
Recent Competition History
The owner has run the car at Safe motorsports Inc and, track days at Sebring, Moroso, and Homestead.
