Description One of the John Thompson honeycomb clones built for Brun Motorsports, this car is in very original condition as raced by Huysman and Larrauri in 1989 and 1990. Still in it's original Hydro Aluminium blue and yellow livery it is an excellent prospect for an historic career.

History

In addition to the works cars, Porsche built a large number of customer cars. Besides the 'official' cars, a certain numbers of honeycomb and/or carbonfibre 'clones' were built by independant fabricators, mainly UK based (Richard Lloyd's Gti Engineering from Silverstone and John Thompson's TC Prototypes from Northhamptonshire, the latter being the biggest producer), but also US based (Porsche's agent Holbert Racing, Fabcar and Jim Chapman).

The 962s remained competitive late in the decade thanks to constant modifications and improvements.

This particular car is one of the John Thompson honeycomb 'clone' chassis built in 1989 for the Brun Motorsport team.
