Description:
Well-sorted, turnkey, immaculately prepared AH Sprite vintage race car in car-show quality condition. Body and roll cage were built by Pro-Tech Auto, Inc. in Kennewick, WA. Car owner has reputation as anal-perfectionist. Original engine was built by Comptune, then rebuilt by Dave Hubbard, H-Engineering to full race specs. New engine also built by Hubbard with full counterweight, billet crankshaft. Straight-cut gearbox; Tran-Ex LSD rearend; competition axles and (dual bearing) rear hubs; mounted rain tires; in-cockpit adjustable brake bias for rear disc brake set-up; Accusump; Tilton clutch and flywheel; dual adjustable master-cylinder; chrome moly billet front hub/steel disc brakes; strenghtened, 4130 steel front stub axles; adjustable camber trunnions; Speedwell rear panhard rod; Pertronix distributor; and loads of spares that go with the car.
History
Oregon Region SCCA Vintage racing at Portland International Raceway. Has also placed 1st and 2nd in class in local car shows. In 2009, was 3rd place in the VP-1 Class, Oregon Region SCCA Vintage Championship Series. Last race competed August 7, 2010 at PIR: 4th place in sprint race and 3rd place in main race. Has only 12 sprint and main races on spare engine. New engine installed has zero race time, engine dyno-tuned at 130 hp at 8000 rpm with break-in.
