Description:
This ground-up restoration was completed in February of 2005. The chassis, engine and transaxel work was performed by Leitch Motorsports in New Zealand. Leitch is recognized as one of the premier Brabham shops in the world. The car was completely dissasembled. The frame was stripped, crack checked, rewelded and coated in proper Brabham grey. A new body was fabricated, fitted and the car was shipped to the present owner in Seattle. At this point the follwing new items were added: New fire system, four new Koni double-adjustable shocks, new Willans harness, new brake lines and new mirrors were added. Various parts were re-nickel plated. The body was painted, and a new windscreen and graphics were added. The magnisium wheels were stripped, crack-checked, polished, painted and fitted with new Avons. The car has been raced in four events since the restoration. It is, arguably, the finest BT-21 on the planet.
