1977 Chevron B-39 F-2/ Atlantic Chassis# 6 Complete - SOLD

Description:
Car has just been restored to original condition plus all parts are either new or refurbished. Fuel cells have been refurbnished, leak checked and new foam added. Fresh paint on body and spare nose, in Duckham blue, fresh 1600 Cosworth/Hart BDA by Quicksilver Race Engines; fresh FT200 Hewland redone by J&J Racing; new fire system; new tub & wing by Prince Race Cars; updated water system with silicone hoses; new front air ducting system; 4 new spare BBS wheels; new Lucas electronic ignition system; new MOMO steering wheel; new rear side panels; new Varley Gell battery. Car was Opert Racing team car, Ran in 77 Canadian Atlantic series under the sponsorship of Excita. Driven by Francoise Romero and Didier Paroni. Car was purchased from an Estate Sale in disassembled condition. All missing parts were either as original or manufactured from original drawings by Vin Mulkey the Chevron dealer in England. The car was then reassembled in our shop to original specs. There are zero hours on the engine. The only time the engine is run, is to get oil Pressure.
History
Car was originaly sold by Fred Opert Racing. It was raced in the Tasman Series driven by Bobby Rahal as the sister car to Keke Rosberg and,later in the U.S.and Canadian Formula/Atlantic series sponsored by Excita and driven by Francois Romero and Didier Peroni, and in Europe by Eve Eigh. Car was purchased at an estate sale in disassembled condition. All missing parts were either purchased or manufactured from original drawings by Vin Mulkey, the Chevron dealer in England. It was then reassembled in our shop to original specs.
