Description:
What you are looking at is a 1999 Chevrolet Nascar Busch series race car. This car has been setup for road racing using all the right parts. I built this car for myself. I did it right, but have found that I have no time to race it. After only 30 minutes of track time I saw low oil pressure and stopped. The engine was completely rebuilt by Powersource Racing Engines. I have started the car since and that is all. I purchased the car as a roller about 2 years ago. The story was that the car was a Brewco Motorsports car. With either Timberwolf or Channellock sponsorship. I have been able to find spots of blue paint that would indicate that the story is correct. The car was originally built as a speedway car-Daytona or Talledega. This is evidenced by the symetric nose and fenders. Nascar Road Race cars are rare on the open market. The most widely available cars are medium track/downforce cars. These are the worst cars for Road Race conversions. I looked for a long time befor finding a speedway car. I tore every nut, bolt and bracket off the car. Cleaned and painted everything before reassembly. All chassis work was done by a championship winning Nascar chassis specialist. New upper control arms where installed and the entire front end was squared up. New shock mounts hold the "Pro Shock" Road Race shocks. 4 new Hyperco springs where installed. The engine is a fresh 358 with "ZERO" time on it. The dry-sump engine makes 550 horses. The alternator and powersteering pump are engine driven. A 4 inch thick radiator with built in oil cooler work great. A 7.25" triple disc clutch was rebuilt by Quarter Master prior to installation. The Quarter Master starter is also fresh. The Borg Warner T-10 trans is shifted by a "Long" shifter. A new Quarter Master steel driveshaft is used. A ford 9 inch rear end with 4.00:1 gears are in a rebuilt detroit locker differential. This gives the car a 140mph top speed at 7000 rpm. The rear housing has 1.5 degrees negative camber on both sides for Road Racing. The interior features all new Autometer guages including 5"inch memory tach. All other guages are 2-5/16" Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Water Temp and Volts. Guages are mounted on a carbon fiber dash panel. A large Autometer shift light and low Oil Pressure warning light are mounted on top of the dash. A new MSD 6AL ignition box with built in rev limiter fires a New MSD coil. All the wiring was completely redone. Brake lights have been added. The brake system was converted to dual master cylinders with a new Wilwood pedal assembly and new Tilton masters. The (4) piston Wilwood calipers where rebuilt and Performance Friction pads where installed. 4 new rotors are installed. A new SFI window net, Ultrasheild Pro Road Race seat and New Belts (dated 5-05) hold the driver in place. The 22 gallon fuel cell includes both the male and female dry break pieces. Sorry no dump can. I will also include the vent can. I have converted the car to an electric fuel pump (new Holley) Triple brake ducts (Carbon Fiber ) for the front wheels with brake blowers. The cowl and roof flaps operate as the are supposed to. New Shoenfeld headers attach to a set of right side exiting "BOOM TUBES". By adjusting the seat and steering wheel, anyone from 5'6" to 6'6"could drive this car. The car also has a helmet blower and is wired for a Cool Suit (cooler and shirt are not included) Included are the chrome wheels on the car and a set of black ones. There is a small spares package consisting of spare suspension bits and misc stuff. I have a spare T-10 trans also. If you want to Road Race a Nascar style racecar, this one is it. All the right pieces and parts are here, ready to go.
