The certificate verifies that the Hendrick Motorsports�, take off, Chevrolet Monte Carlo body (identified as #2449) was actually used during a race won by Hendrick Motorsports� Race Car. The details for this body are below: Race Series NASCAR Winston Cup Race Sharpie 500 Bristol TN Race Date August 24. 2002 Team #24 Jeff Gordon DuPont Chevrolet The car has a Hendrick roller bearing engine. There is a certificate that verifies the Hendrick Motorsports� engine block (identified as JRH-290) was actually used in a Busch Series races car driven by Ricky Hendrick during 2002 season. This engine was built at Hendrick Motorsports to race specifications using many of the actual Hendrick Motorsports� parts. There is even a build sheet on the engine with the Comp Cam specs as well. The car #2449 Beetlejuice was last raced at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2002 where Jeff won that race. This Hendrick Motorsports� 2002 Chevrolet Dupont Monte Carlo has been fully restored. The #24 body was then professionally mounted to templates on the chassis (identified as # 2527 Speedy Gonzales). The chassis was run during the 2001-2002 season by Jerry Nadeau in the #25 UAW � Delphi Chevrolet. The car was "retired" and moved to Hendrick Motorsports' R&D department where it was built as an ARCA car and driven VERY successfully by Kyle Busch sometime during the '03 ARCA season. The cars for 2003 all had to change to a common body style so the 2002 cars were obsolete. The following is a list of some of the parts on the car, with over 85% of the parts from Hendrick Motorsports� The complete Ignition system came out of Jeff�s car #2450, and has the wiring already for front and rear brake fans. The chassis #2527 came with truck arms; both upper and lower A arms; tie rod ends; center steering link; pitman arm; wedge adjusters; all tether ropes; oil tank; oil lines; rear end pump lines and cooler; pan hard bar; collapsible steering column; column mount; window net; rear end housing with U bolts; fuel log; extinguisher power steering pump with reservoir; radiator hoses with reservoir; throttle linkage with boot; gas pedal, Brembo brake calipers, and rotors, chassis dolly/ wheels to move car around the shop, and radiator are from Hendrick Motorsports�. The rear end is off the #25 team #2514 is a road coarse rear end. The seat is a Jimmy Johnson seat #4838 and has the head rest along with seat, head rest covers, leg supports, and heat pad under drivers� seat. Tires and wheels are from the 24 team as well. The windshield still has the tear-offs from the last race. The fuel cell is a brand new ATL Kevlar road course bladder, and can, drive shaft (balanced at 10,000 RPM), transmission (TEX RACING T-101 geared at 2.88-1.85-1.29-1.0), crush panels, Wildwood brake and clutch pedal assembly; Tilton master cylinders; 12 to 1 steering box; and newly rebuilt Penske nitrogen filled shocks with adjusters, the Detroit locker 4:22 gears are the only parts that are not from the Hendrick Motorsports� stable. The car come with all extra parts Cup car refueling can with male dry break 2 extra set of tires, 4 wheels, starter, brake blowers, rear truck arm scoops, a matching car cover, nitrogen shock gauge and filler tool, and an oil heater control box with temperature sensor. This car comes with letters of authenticity It is complete and turn key! It runs great with the engine having no track time and about an hour of total run time. The car has been set up to run road course racing. The body is in great condition for a Bristol race car! The car has always been in garage kept under a cover. Thank you for looking!
