Description:

My Cortina was rebuilt in 2015, by Michael Clifford. The engine was built by Marcovicci-Wenz Engineering. It ran once that year at Lime Rock Park. In 2016, it was raced again at Lime Rock with the Jag Club and at the VDCA Wild Hare @ VIR. Originally set up to race SCCA in period, it is now rebuilt to run in vintage racing events. Lap Times: 2:32.6 at VIR, 1:09 at Lime Rock, both with 4.44 rear end ratio. There is a lot more speed to be found. Coming out of an open-wheel car to this sedan requires some adjusting to and someone with more experience with sedans can take many seconds off my times. The car is in need of a new clutch and gearbox. This work can be done by Michael Clifford or by the buyer.
