Description:

The log books indicate that there have been 6 owners. The car was raced on track events from July 22 1978 to May 28 1984. It was purchased by Gary Allen and set up for Autocross and Hill Climbs. I purchased the car in May of 1996 and used it for Autocross the rest of the season. In early 1997 I completely dismantled the car, sandblasted the frame, found 4 stress cracks, which we rebraised. The car was reassembled using aircraft quality nuts and bolts.Frame was primed and was rewired completely. The car had been overbored and was not FF compliant. The block was resleeved and 1.6l Hepolite Jay Ivey pistons were installed. Ivey also prepared a new distributor and reworked carb. The car was reassembled with a repainted body, recovered seat in leather and new gear reduction stater.I Autocrossed the car for 8 events and purchased another car. The fluids were drained and the car was put on blocks. In 2007 the fuel cell was removed and the interior slosh coated and the exterior was seal coated. About a month ago I decided to sell the car. I flushed brakes, clutch, water, and oil system. Replaced the half shaft seals and plan to Autocross the car Oct. 17 as a test. I am not sure what it would take to make the car solo compliant as I have no inspectors in my area.
