1960 Lotus Elite Restored - SOLD
This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
Elite, chassis number 1223, was a competition racer in Canada for many years. I purchased it about 14 years ago and, as the CBU was in bad shape, I ordered a new one from David Mousley who had the original molds. The car's engine was in a box, dismantled. Randall Fehr, a well-known Elite restorer, rebuilt the car. Clay Vyzralek restored the engine (StageIII, 105 hp). This all took a number of years to complete. The subframes (for suspension) are now stainless steel. The car has a 5-speed gear box and 60-spoke wire wheels.
