Description:
The object of a complete restoration done in England the car has seen little use since coming to
the U.S. It is to proper Series 2 LeMans spec, having the single seat cockpit and head fairing and
tall screen. Really just broken in since a total rebuild it is attractive and race ready.
History
The car was constructed between 7/19/57 and 9/20/57 and was originally sold to a Mr. Dickson.
The car was sent to New Zealand early on and has extensive race history there. Early in it's career
it was rebodied with the current glasfibre front and rear panels. For most of it's New Zealend career
it ran in a blue livery which was replaced by the current at the time of restoration. The car was shipped
to England for restoration by the last New Zealand owner who subsequently sold it to the current American
owner. The car is known to the Historic Lotus Register.
