Description:

This is the chassis which Elio DeAngelis campaigned for Team Lotus in the 1984 F1 season, competing
in 11 grands prix.
He obtained two 3rds, a pole, and third in the Driver's Championship. The car is in totally original,
as-raced condition. It is amost certainly the only running F1 Turbo Renault.


History

The Lotus Type 95T was a completely new car, the first designed from the ground up by Ducarouge
for Team Lotus after being brought in the previous year to change the team's fortunes. He produced
a neat and very good looking car which by all accounts was probably the class of the field handling-wise,
if let down by the still-fragile Renaults.
