This vehicle is a genuine Lotus Cortina which has been modified for Historic Racing in New Zealand. It is
powered by a 1700cc L Block Twin Cam which has late model computer controlled fuel injection fitted. The
car was originally in concours condition when it was imported into New Zealand and remains in very good condition despite
extensive racing since 1991.


History

This car was originally registered in the UK on May 1st 1966, it is probable that it spent the time between
manufacture and registration as a race car as it was first registered to a company. The original logbook is
availible to validate the vehicle's identification. From it's first owner it passes through six other owners
before being imported into New Zealand in the late 1980's. Barry Jackson bought the car in 1990 and carried out
the modifications which have transformed it into a very quick and competitive historic racer.
