enthusiast and is a reluctant sale.

History

This is the last, and to many the best, incarnation of the immortal Lotus coupe. The series
4 car was a much improved final evolution of the model. Launched at the 1968 London Motor show,
it featured a number of changes wwhich were becoming mandatory under the new Federal emissions and
safety laws. The steering column was made collapsable, the dash fitted with rocker switches,
the rear light clusters were larger, the wheel arches flared for larger tires, and a twin pipe
exhaust fitted.
It retained all the elements which had made it such a success, lightweight semi-stressed
fibreglass monocoque astride a highly competent backbone chassis, the wonderful twincam engine,
and superb handling.

Steering rack dissassembled and rebuilt, new gaitors and solid aluminum mounts, new tierod ends
Brake calipers Cadmium plated and new pistons fitted, Stainless steel flexible brake lines, new pads
New Panasport wheels and Dunlop tires.
