Description:
Commencing in 1998 the car went through a 2 ½ year restoration by John Harden of Oklahoma City. John is the center of most things Allard in the USA and has performed various restorations of J2X’s including Brian Dietz’s J2X which was on the cover of Vintage Motorsport 2000/5. This car was done right after Dietz’s car and is done to the same exacting standards as that one.
History
The Allard J-2X is the most famous of all the Allards. The cars were manufactured by Sydney Allard in London. The cars that came to the USA were imported without engines, and then the importer put engines in them. This car has a Cadillac V8.Engine
