Description:

For Sale 1991 Subaru Legacy LE Turbo 4-door sedan ~172,000 Miles New Radiator New Thermostats (both) New Valve Cover Gasket New HKS Titanium Ti Muffler (Titanium and Carbon Fiber) Almost New Toyo All-Season Tires with about 6,000 miles on them 5 Spoke Progressive Alloy Wheels 15” x 7.5” Automatic Transmission with Manual Shift and Overdrive (4 speed) All Wheel Drive with Traction Control Subaru EJ22T 2.2L Turbo Boxer (flat) Motor ~ 190hp Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS Folding rear seats for more cargo space Large trunk The Good: This car has one of the best AWD systems ever designed. The grip is incredible in any weather, rain, sleet, and snow, whatever. This is a very safe car and perfect for a first car or a commuter for a student or even a project rally car. The engine runs very strong and the car can pull hard through all the gears. The turbo runs great and the exhaust sounds very nice and sporty, not scratchy like a Honda with a coffee can The Bad: The car could use a new coat of paint. The original color is silver with a little metal flake in it and it has a few spots where rust was removed then sealed and primed over but not repainted. The primer is very close to the paint in color but it could be redone, this is purely cosmetic though. The engine has an out “boost overpressure” sensor. What this means is; if you drive the car with the transmission in full automatic (non-manual-shift) mode and you open the throttle all the way (i.e. pedal to the floor and hold it there) the car will start to stall and unless you let your foot off it will stall. If you take your foot off then it comes back and runs fine. The sensor will take a mechanic less than an hour to replace and will cost around $100. There is a chance I will fix this before I sell the car but if not then this is what is wrong with it. The Rest: Everything else works, lights, turn signals, running and parking lights, brake lights and reverse lights. The car is wired for fog lights and has mounting brackets but the fog lights were never installed. Oil was changed with Quaker State 50/50 high mileage every 3,000 miles. The engine is very clean and strong and this is a great winter car. Valued at around $3,500-$4,000, selling for $1,800 O.B.O. All reasonable offers will be entertained and willing to accept trades.
