Description:
Greetings everyone, up for sale is a Competition Yellow Mica,1993 twin turbo Mazda RX-7 that was originally built to compete in the Motorola Cup Sportscar racing series. The car was raced in that series for two years at a handful of races and was very competitive, leading the GS class at Sebring and Road Atlanta. I have owned the car for the past 8 years and have most recently competed in one and a half seasons in SCCA in the Northeast division ITE regional class. Last year the car had podium finishes and finished third overall in points in its class. This past year the season was cut short with a failing motor. The car is being sold as is with the understanding that the front rotor has low compression. The car does not run at this time. The entire car received a complete overhaul by a local race prep shop just before the race in which the motor failed, and is in excellent mechanical condition aside from the motor. There is some cosmetic body damage on the front driver’s side and rear driver’s side quarter panels and also on the passenger side rocker panel in front of the rear wheel. The car has an SCCA logbook and has most recently received its yearly tech inspection for 2006. With the motor in proper condition, the car is VERY fast and very fun to drive. One of very few road racing third generation RX7 still in competition. This car would also make an excellent Solo or Drift car! The car comes with many spares including a set of turbos, Goodyear rain tires/wheels, rotors, intake manifold, differential, carbon headlights and an available core motor (at additional cost). The pictures shown are of the car and all of the spares/items included with the sale, in addition to a few on track photos. As this is an off-road only vehicle, and is not street legal, there is no title included with the vehicle, but I will provide a bill of sale upon request. PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! Car is located just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Below is a list of parts and modifications performed on the car. • Marine grade, weather-resistant, snap-on cabin cover • 2 sets of wheels (dry and rains) • Hoosier 245-45 front, 275-45 rear • Slotted rotors with hawk blue pads • GAB coil over super R shocks • Eibach adjustable springs • Mazdaspeed ’99 rear wing • “Dry-Break” fuel system • Taller 5th gear • Walbro fuel pump • Anti-slosh fuel tank baffle box • Full SCCA/FIA approved cage • Stand 21 seat • Personal steering wheel with quick disconnect • New 6-point harness • Halon fire suppression system • B+M short throw shifter • Custom gauge pods (oil pressure and water temp.) • Optima battery relocated to driver’s compartment • M2 cold air intake • Custom carbon fiber hood ducts and brake intake ducts • Aftermarket aluminum radiator overflow catch can • Engine oil overflow catch can • Mazdaspeed radiator • Solid engine mounts • Brake proportioning valve with ABS removed • M2 race clutch • Lightened flywheel • Stainless steel down-pipe and 3” exhaust • Stainless steel braided brake lines • Silicone intake hoses Asking $12,000 obo PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE SALE, AND I WILL ANSWER THEM AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!
