Description:
The car has the following period Group IV upgrades: Trailing arms on the lower front suspension. Big brakes, including a 21mm tandem master cylinder. Thicker rotors front and rear. 1565 cc displacement. Std-Std crank. Ported head. 11.5 CR. New bearings, seals oil pump and clutch in 2008. Mignotet like cam shaft. Pro Control Rev limiter. Ducelier distributor with Pertronix. Monte Carlo 5 speed gearbox with custom ratios and bigger U-joints. Upgraded 4 spider diff. 5 inch lightweight Aluminum rims (Mad'In, not period correct) with Avons. Extra large front radiator, with 12 inch fan. Oil cooler in the front, second oil cooler with fan in original spot (by-passed, used only in extreme heat). 2 x 45 DCOE Weber carburetors with plastic floats. 4-1 Devil header. Open exhaust. Kit Group IV brackets on gearbox silent blocs. Lightened flywheel. Adjustable rear trailing arms. Easy adjustable tie rods. Access panels to the front of the engine (water pump side). Light body, small frame. Furthermore the car has two 3 inch harnesses, roll bar (mounted on the chassis instead on glass fiber)adapted for the use of a HANS, two nozzle fire-extinguisher, Stack tachometer, mechanical Race Tech gauges Oil Pressure, Oil Temp. and Water Temp. Volt meter. Gell battery. Low water pressure warning light. Low oil pressure shut off system. Fuel Safe bladder and foam in the original gas tank. Custom driver seat. Newer clutch 2008. Original bucket seat for the passenger with a new 4 point harness. Functional fan on the windscreen (essential in wet conditions). Has 6 newer adjustable AVO shock absorbers. Mintex race brake pads. Pro Control adjustable Rev limeter. AMB transponder. I have rudimental plexi glass door "windows" that I use during transport and the nights at the track. Windscreen is glass, the rear window is plexi glass. The 1565cc engine has been dynoed at 156.7 HP (at 6700 RPM) and 123.9 Ft/lbs torque at 6300 RPM. It speaks for itself that the car is ready to race; I plan to race it myself until the car is sold. In anticipation of the question "What needs to be done to bring this car back to street use?", here is the list. Wiring harness. All switches are in the car and the so important "Commodo" with the switches and stalks behind the steering wheel is in excellent condition.It needs a horn. Head lights and driving lights, door window and mechanisms needs to be purchased and installed. Needs a muffler and an alternator. Would change the jetting and install a better air filter. Heater core needs to be hooked up, and the controls are missing.If you want to install the original style upholstery, complete kits are available in France. It has a operating hydrolic handbrake! The wiper motor is installed and works, but the wipers arms are missing. The car comes with an Illinois title! On parle Francais, n’hesiter pas nous contacter. History
The history of the car is unknown prior to the period I owned it. Started racing the car in 2000 with VSCDA. Also raced with CVAR, SVRA and Midwestern Council.
