This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
The 017/4 was raced by the Tyrrell Racing Organisation during the 1988 and 1989 seasons. One of five chassis used during 1988. Chassis # 4 was a spare for the Monaco Grand Prix and still carries the FIA inspection sticker from its final World Championship event. Owned and operated since 1996, not a school car. The 3.5 liter DFZ is a BOSS-spec Nicholson McLaren unit with about 150 miles on it (expected life before rebuilds in this configuration: 1500-2000 miles), and the dash has been updated to Pi Research System 2, which replaces the rudimentary stock tachometer and single needle combination temp/pressure gauge with complete instrumentation, programmable alarms, a programmable shift light and moderate data acquisition capabilities. Car is set up according to the team’s Jerez settings; testing sheets and setups from the factory are included. Every component on the car has been tested and replaced as required. New hardware throughout. A no-stories car, this can be driven and/or raced with confidence right now. Listing includes pit equipment and a set of travel wheels. Additional spares upon negotiation.
