1970 Macon Formula Ford. For an extensive history of the Macon Company and their Formula Ford see the December 2008 feature history in Vintage Race Car Magazine. The article can be provided upon request. The car is a very early MR8 with the very rare bodywork built for Macon by Centaur from the same mold used to build one of the cars featured in the movie Grand Prix. A few years ago Peter Alexander bought the rights to the Macon company with all the parts and original jigs so that body parts are still available at PA Motorsports in England. Rare Minister aluminum valve cover from the UK. This car is extremely quick and well sorted. Strong Loyning engine with recent cylinder head and valves overhaul. Kony shocks. It has been raced in CSRG and HMSA events in Northern California. Extremely reliable. Professionally maintained by Cypress Lane Racing at Sonoma Raceway for the last 10 years.
