An exceptional example of the 1992 Peugeot 905 spider with the Martini chassis MK64 N°07. Complete restauration & total reliability. Martini Automobiles delivered this 905 spider to the prestigious ORECA TEAM in 1992 was raced with the Oreca colors during 1992 and probably during a part of 1993 in the french and European championships; (there is also a setup sheet for this car at the CASTELLET Circuit onthe 23/07/1993). This 905 spider has been the object of a ground up restauration;on the chassis (aluminium & flat underbelly). All element of: brakes, engine (engine top, oil pump, water pump, special head gasket, etc), petrol tank remade, gearbox rebuilt, new clutch, wiring harness, electronics (with the original ECU from Magnetti Marelli), electrics. Coachwork: last but no least a complete rebuilt of the body shell with the correct decals of the PTS cars of the epoque!! All photographic history of this rebuilt is available & bear witness to the dedication, grandeur, & quality of all the stages executed on this labor of love rebuild. Following the completion of the rebuilt a series of tests were carried out on differents tracks & we are very pleased to be able to say that this 905 spider is totally reliable & can be seen by serious request on track.


History

The Spider 905's with only 28 examples being produced between 1992 & 1993 are very rare vehicles. The formula "spider cup" French & European began in 1992 & was extended into the engagement of the Peugeot 905 on the track: Peugeot 905 which won the 24 hours LE MANS in 1993 under the direction of Jean TODT at that time boss of PTS (PEUGEOT TALBOT SPORT). Noting the participation of two 905 spider at the 24 hours of LE MANS in 1992. The 905 spider was presented beside its big sister the 905 in 1991 at the Racing cars salon which showed the striking resemblance of the two!!! The 905 spider with Martini chassis were the most competititive relative others chassis as WR, Orion, etc...
