Purchased by current owner in 1996 and driven in Vintage races at Indianapolis Raceway Park and Road America.

- aluminum Chevrolet Donovan block 358 CI
- 750 HP
- Brodix NASCAR heads
- Titanium valves
- Titanium rods
- Hilborn fuel injection & Vertex Magneto
- all built by Galen Fox who originally maintained engines
- car has always run with Chevy based push rod engine
- engine has approximately two hours of run time
- built to run on gas (not alcohol)
- new fuel cell installed by Adkins
- capacity is an original 40 gallons and uses 104-106 octane such as "TRICK" equivalent
- oil and water cooling are side mounted in pods
- ignition is by Vertex Magneto
- starting is provided by on board starter (Tilton)
- starter is mounted between wing plates to eliminate need for starter and cart
- fiberglass w/fiberglass undertray
- configuration is in final generation road course for 1981-1984 Gurney Eagles
- color is as original for 1981 Indy race which it won PPG Paint award
- body condition is good to excellent
- newly painted during Adkins set up
- Gurney designed & built aluminum tub. All original including titanium bulkheads & rollbar
