Description:

This car has just undergone a complete restoration by a professional vintage race preparation concern.
The color has been changed to white (new photos are on the way).

History

Hawke was one of the major producers of Formula Fords in the late 60s and early 70s. The firm
was formed by ex-Lotus Jim Clark mechanic David Lazenby specifically to target the new Formula Ford
market in 1968. The prototype DL-1 became the production DL-2 for 1969. One was used to good effect
by a then young Tom Walkinshaw to win the Scottish National Championship. The DL-2A and B followed
for 1970 and 71. Total production fo the DL-2 variants was only 35 cars, making this a relatively
rare model considering the 100s produced by Lotus and Titan.
