1970 Winkelmann (Palliser) WDF3 Formula Ford - SOLD

Description:
This car was completely restored in 1995 and 1996. The chassis was blasted,
repaired and painted with Glassurit epoxy paint. The car was reassembled with all AN
hardware, the engine and gearbox completely rebuilt and dyno tested, a new fuel cell
install, and a new fire system installed. Since the photos have bee taken a correct
tail cover hs been obtained as well as a WDF2 nose for better cooling. Since these must
be painted the purchaser has the option of having the entire car repainted in the color
of his choice as part of his purchase agreement.
History
Palliser was founded by Lola and Brabham designer Lem Wimhurst. The initial
product was a successful Formula B car. This was campaigned in California by Bob
Winkelmann who decided to import and sell the B cars and new Ford production under his
name. Very much related to the BT-29/30 design the cars were successful well into
the 70's.
