1988 Swift DB4 Formula Atlantic - Serial #00888 This car is a former Pro Atlantic car and was actually used on the poster for one of the Grand Prix races. Peter Faucetta Jr. drove this car from 1990 - 1992, he switched to a Reynard in 1993. The car was sponsored by Newport Cigarettes with a menthol green color. The car was stickered with Newport and used as a display / show car after 1992 when the Swift was no longer the car to have in the Pro Series. The car, along with the 2nd team car and the rest of the team's vehicles, were sold. This particular car was purchased and used as a display in a vehicle collection. Last year the car was purchased from the collection with the intent of restoring it back to its original Newport "livery" and using it as a racecar once again. These vehicles are becoming popular in vintage racing series such as SVRA. Unfortunately, the economy and my day job (car dealership advertising) have taken a turn in a bad direction. I had to start selling off a number of my cars and toys. Maybe my loss will be your gain! Currently the car is virtually complete and would be best described as a roller with the original Staffs 5 speed gearbox The car has No engine (formerly Toyota), radiator or clutch master cylinder. Otherwise a complete car. Vintage eligible. Buy it now before the value of this car quadruples! I hope it goes to somebody that will enjoy it. With it being one of the original team cars, it will increase in value day by day. Please note that the car currently has the front wing removed for ease or moving it around the shop.
