Hewland MK8 4 speed. This transmission was bought for a project which never came up. I bought it in parts in a box. I had it rebuilt by local machanic/machinist. Almost $1200.00 invested in parts and $900.00 in labor. The following parts were renewed: Clutch shaft seal - Both axle bearings and seals - Crown bolts - Selector finger - Selector cover (Webster) - Pinion shaft bearing and clutch cylinder. Ratios are: Diff 9/31, 1st gear 19/32, 2nd gear 21/30, 3rd 24/28 and 4th 25/26. There is an area with corrosion but it did not reduce the strenght of the case. I can palletize for $50.00. Also I can deliver to US border of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Eastern part of New York for the price of gas. You are concerned about the price, let me know what yo are thinking.
