Ralt RT31 #686 F3 - 90% Complete Project
Description:
Ralt RT31 Chassis #RT31:686, is 90% complete, includes a fresh zero-time Ron Hendrix VW 1.8, but needs full restoration.
Offered at US$ 25,000. It is 90% completely "there", as can be seen in the pictures of it, but it is absolutely a project car. The wheels that are shown on it in the pics, with new Hoosier wets, actually go with the Ratenberger car (advertised separately) as its second set. There are 1.5-2 full sets of Dymags to go with this Brabham car, although they need to be re-chromated.
Beyond what's shown in pics, would include zero-time Ron Hendrix 1.8 VW engine, one set of Webers and manifold that need gone through, the other EFI manifold with all linkage and original electronics, again to convert back to Euro-UK F3 spec.
RT31:686 was owned and run by the Jack Brabham Racing organization, and driven by Sir Jack's youngest son, in the same '87 Lucas British F3 C'ship. The engine cover for this car is not original (was modified by Tracer), but the floor, diffuser, and rest of bodywork are all there and appear original. The tub looks very good, as do the suspension, brakes, and uprights. However, they ALL need to be gone through! This could either be a second complete car, or be used as an extremely comprehensive spares package. Current pictures are included.
Viewing in Moneterey, CA.
