1976 Corvette IMSA History
Description:
1976 GM-Garcia Corvette was built for the Garcia Brothers 1976. Its first race was at the 12-Hours of Sebring in 1976, driven by Javier Garcia, and George Garcia.
They campaigned the car in the 1976 Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. They qualified 4th for both races and finished 22nd and 29th respectively.
The car was pressed into service again for the 1977 Sebring 12 Hours where the Javier and George were joined by professional racer Jack Baldwin. After starting eighth, they failed to finish due to accident damage.
The brothers continued to campaign the car in select events until the end of 1978.

Engine:
454 Aluminum Donovan Motor, Kinsler Fuel Injection. Dyno 700hp at the crank.
Suspension: Garcia modified front suspension geometry. Guldstrand 4 link in the rear. Goodyear Slicks: 25x13-16 Front and 27x14-16 Rear.
Body:
Fiberglass Greenwood style body.

Accompanied by years of its Historic Racing Log books, Dyno Sheets, Alignment Sheets, and shock suspension diagrams, Track notes etc.
Comes out of long-time ownership of prominent American Historic Racer, The Garcia Brothers Corvette Has been accepted at all the major Historic events. Most Notable are the Monterey Motorsport Reunion, Wine Country Classic, and most recently the Velocity Invitational.
This is a real piece of IMSA and Corvette history that is ready to Race!
