Tom installed an aluminum radiator, 13-row oil cooler, electric fan, a highly modified 1600cc Ford motor, a custom header, lightweight gear-reduction racing starter, lightweight flywheel, more aggressive cam, and oversized valves. Tom installed 45mm Weber carburetors, high-compression forged aluminum pistons, custom rods, custom all-steel billet crank, custom aluminum oil pan, proper windage tray, modern Japanese 1-wire alternator, Titan 5-port oil pump, and a close-ratio 4- speed gear box featuring square-cut gears and upgraded shift mechanism commonly called a “rocket box.” The car also sports a limited slip rear end along with ten magnesium wheels, five with Hoosier Speedster tires 205x60x15, five with Goodyear
blue streak bias-ply racing tires used when run with SVRA, as the Morgan is a Gold Medallion car with SVRA. The Morgan has an electric fuel pump, an 8-gallon ATL fuel cell, and an on-board 5# fire system. The cockpit has two aluminum racing seats, and a new up-to-date shoulder harness for the driver. The Morgan is a right-hand drive with an updated stiffer suspension. The car has been raced in vintage events from Coronado to Portland, OR, including Buttonwillow, Laguna Seca, Sonoma and Thunderhill raceways. Comes with an open trailer.
