1968 Mercury Cyclone GT 427 Nostalgia Drag Racer. Started life as factory 390 GT 4-speed car. Restored Arizona rust free car in Hugger Orange livery. Converted to nostalgia drag racer in the 1990's.Originaly built with a 428 Cobra Jet motor but switched to a real 427 FE Side Oiler with 600+HP,Dove ported Aluminum heads. Special light weight C-4 drag race transmission w/4,500 rpm stall converter. 9" Ford Strange Hi-Nickel 3rd member and Strange 4.33 gears w/Spool. Mark Williams drive line bog tube, Cal-Tracks rear suspension, Four wheel disc brakes, New Mickey Thompson E.T.Drag slicks/30x9.0x15 on light weight Monocoque Aluminum wheels, Complete Autometer dash and Pro-Comp-2 play back tach, MSD 7AL-2, Line lock, Shift Lite, Recaro Hi-Back seats w/ safety gear/Simpson seat belts, LeCarrera leather wrapped steering wheel, Accusump oil accumulater, Fire extinguisher, Roll cage w/padding, Four(4)passes on current 427 drive train.
