Description:

The car recieved a complete restoration including body removal down to bare frame.The restoration took 2- years to complete. No cost was spared to make this one of the finest historic Corvette race cars anywhere. The car was built back to it's 1980-1982 Wide-Body Trans Am livery. The chassis is a 1968,but is prepared to 76-82 livery. The roll cage was restored or replaced where needed.The fiberglass Greenwood style wide body was repaired/rebuilt and beautifully painted back to it's Trans Am livery. All drive train components were rebuilt or replaced.Please see restoration photo's included. Restoration was completed by Chuck Buckman of Phoenix,Az.


History

Raced from 1976 thru 1986 in SCCA B/P,GT1,& Trans Am. This is a fully documented historic race car. The log books and SCCA numbers match the chassis numbers. Trans Am racing web sites also document it's Trans Am racing history.Currently it has been competing at the Monterey Historic Reunion and the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Reunion. It won the IMSA/Trans Am race (group #14) at this years 2013 Sonoma Historics at Sears Point Raceway.It also was awarded the 2013 Sonoma Trophy for presentation and performance.It has been invited again this year 2014 to participate at the Rolex Monterey Reunion.
