Description:
A Cosworth DFX 8 cylinder engine powers this white and blue 1988 Lola T8800 Indy car, serial number 010. It has Brembo front and rear disc brakes, and a Lola Dog gearbox. In 1988, Darrin Brassfield raced this car at Sears Point and Mid-Ohio, logging only 6.5 hours on the brand new chassis. Driven by Mr. Brassfield, Lola T8800 held the outright fastest record at Sears Point until as recently as 1997. After only two races in the CART series, Darrin parked the car due to his commitments in the Winston Cup series and the Trans Am series. The current owner bought the car in 1997 and, since then, has logged only twelve hours in the car, totaling 18.5 hours on the chassis.
