Description:
This car was recently rescued from an autocross career and has had most of
the rebuild work carried out to return it to road race trim for the Formula
70 series. The car is complete less engine and battery.
History
This is the second LOLA 242 built of of a total production of only two.
There were 15
LOLA 240 models built (chassis numbers HU-01 - HU-15) and two LOLA 242
models. (Factory build list available.) The car's history is known from
its beginning as a show car for LOLA (Carl Haas) at the 1972 Road Racing
Championships (RunOffs).

- The body is in excellent condition save the nose. The front wings
and nose have been filled with some sort of ballast. - The rear wing is in good condition.

- The tub is in excellent condition, apparently never having had major damage.
There are some minor "dings" indicating its existence as an active race
car. - The bottom of the tub has been reskinned with 0.060" aluminum.
