1976 Lola T-460 Formula Atlantic - SOLD
This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
A very original and unmolested car which has seen remarkably little use since new. Originally
going to a Canadian racer the car ran mid-pack in two races in the 1976 and 1977 Players series. After those
seasons it was basically unused in the next 21 years. Completely restored in 1995-1996 the car has
done eight races since restoration. The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt last winter and
the car has only two races since. If not sold it will campaign the balance of the 1997 season.
History
This car was shipped from the Lola factory April 22, 1976 to Canadian David Webber of Toronto.
He ran mid-pack at Mosport '76 and Trois Riviere '77. The car still has the Trois Riviere tech sticker
in place. The list of drivers this car ran against is a virtual who's who of 70s North American drivers.
The list includes: Gilles Villeneuve, Bobby Rahal, Bertil Roos, Price Cobb, Tom Klausler, Howdy Holmes,
Tom Gloy, Elliot Forbes-Robinson, Bobby Brown, Hector Rebaque, Gordon Smiley, Richard Spenard, Ted Wenz,
Alan Jones, Patrick Tambay, James Hunt... No wonder 70s Formula Atlantic was exciting!
