Description:

This is a Mark One Cortina GT body with a Lotus Cortina title and plate. The original body was destroyed and a prior owner "rebodied" the car. Apparently it only takes two rivets. The original plate is on the car as well. The car has nice strut towers and great floors. It does have some rust which is mostly cosmetic and easily repairable (doors, battery tray, leading edge of hood). It does not need any large repair panels. It comes with two transmissions (one with remote shifter). The car is nearly complete with the exception of the engine and ancillaries. It has a full interior with a nice headliner. It is perfect for a vintage race car. The trim has already been removed (nicely) it has a great structure, and the strut towers make you weep. Moreover, it is already white so it is perfect for the white/green livery. THERE ARE NO LOTUS PARTS OTHER THAN THE TITLE AND A TRANNY. I HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER PARTS AT ADDITIONAL COST.


History

This can race either as a Cortina GT or as a Lotus Cortina. I have access to either style of motor. The advantage of the lotus twin cam is power. But the cortina pushrod spec allows a lower weight (1500 pounds).Spares
