Description:

If you are looking for a car no one else has then look no further, here it is. Guaranteed to turn heads! Sure to be a collector car. Price reduced for quick sale as I have found several cars that I want to look at. After a lengthy decision (6 months) and going back and forth, I have decided to sell this work of art, beauty and speed. Every time I take it out on the track I talk myself out of selling it. It has incredible handling and speed, there will be no regrets here. I'm probably going to be kicking myself for letting this go. This is a very rare and well sorted Elise. 1 of only 3 Carbon Fiber S2 Elise's on the entire planet and the only one that is turbocharged and set up for the track. The other two are in Japan and bone stock. Well maintained and never in any on or off track incidents / accidents. Cost to duplicate it, as it sits, is over $155,000. Just over 2300 miles on the car, and most of that was spent sorting and testing. We used it as a spare car for track days when our other car was in the prep shop or when we both wanted to run on the same day. FACTS: 1619 pounds "wet" ForcedFed 275 HP kit (set at a conservative 7# of boost) Moroso oversize 6 quart baffled oil pan (a must have for tracking) ForcedFed engine damper (another track must have) Custom HD engine mounts (yep, you need these too) Benetec complete Carbon Fiber body with side skirts which provides exceptional downforce making it aerodynamically balanced and requiring no front splitter or dive planes Carbon Fiber rear wing Carbon Fiber 3 element rear diffuser Craftsquare Carbon Fiber side mirrors RAC Monolite wheels (if you know about the Elise, then you are aware of the weight savings and the high cost of these) with Hoosier R6 slicks Lotus Sport Pack wheels just powdered coated metallic carbon / anthracite spares (4) Yokohama Advan A048 Medium hard DOT street tires (2) fronts Hoosier A6 slicks spares (4) Ohlins coilovers front and rear (60 settings for compression and rebound) Already sorted and properly adjusted Caterham racing seats (2) Simpson 5 point belts (2) Sector111 RTD rear brace (track must have) Sector111 folding front tow eye Sector111 Boomerang rear eye Sector111 heel and toe pad Sector111 rear panel eliminator Sector111 1/4 turn screws for bottom panel and rear diffuser Sector111 Lid Bone engine door support AMB transponder mount Magnaflow Muffler Optima Gel battery Porterfield R4 brake pads (just installed and bedded) Autometer Carbon Fiber Gauges (Oil Pressure and Boost / Vacuum) Wired for Battery Tender Aluminum oil catch can for overflow The car has been purpose built for track use to be dependable as well as a performer. Easily out performs Exige Factory Cup and Corvette ZO6 track cars. Suspension is set up for track: Camber, Toe, ride height and corner weighting were all recently calibrated with a digital Hunter HD HawkEye alignment machine for 185# driver. Parts removed but will supply are: AC and heater, air bags, catalytic converter (currently has flex pipe instead and they are quickly interchangeable), center console, rear radio speakers, stock muffler, internal antennae, cloth roof top and bag. The only things missing are the windows for the doors and I am in the midst of reintalling those. Also will supply Ikeya sequential shifter ($2800) and new electric 2 Quart Accusump NO mechanical issues Engine temps are typically 191 degrees on track. Reason for sale is to purchase a different class of car. We typically change race cars every 2 years to get a feel for different cars and gain more diversified experiences with the nuances of the different platforms. To use it on the street would take some minimal changes: suspension settings (camber and toe set back to stock) and the coilovers would have to be set back to a softer stock setting. Of course the catalytic would have to go back on with the two attached v-bands, a 10 minute job at best with a socket wrench ( I designed it that way on purpose to make it easy to convert). Horn, signals lights , flasher, wipers and washer, and electric door locks all work. All the current lettering is vinyl and peels right off. Here's a few recent links to videos from August 2008, just cut and paste. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKuvYwyYcqw www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwAvXMNyEUQ And here's some from last year, stills and videos.......... www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEZum48SFwc dpmolloydc1950.2.googlepages.com/ Inspections welcomed, I have nothing to hide. Car is completely sorted with nothing left to do unless you want a full roll cage. Here's a few more videos from 10-11-2008 at Autobahn Country Club South track, a technically challenging track with plenty of turns. The second one shows how fast the car can catch a standard Elise and it's on my warm up lap! www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqUz5sFk78w www.youtube.com/watch?v=raUXfeLmQlg
